My favorite scene of the episode. This was a GIGANTIC moment in terms of Kate Beckett as a character. When have we ever gotten such a big glimpse behind those walls of hers? Epic scene is epic.
I don’t think I would have ever expected something like this to happen back when I first started watching Castle during season 1. Truly exemplifies how much Kate has grown as a person and how much she loves Castle now. It’s incredible.
this. And can I just throw out there that she is holding on to the coffee cup he gave her? At least it’s the same cup as he usually brings her coffee in. (P.S. they are plastic, not paper.) She’s holding on to it, like a lifeline of sorts. Support maybe? Here I go with reading too much into things… but still.
You’ve always got the coffee scoop and I love it. I don’t think it’s an accident that it’s in this scene. ;) It’s representative of their affection for each other, and like you said, she’s holding on to it for dear life. I kind of feel like it’s representative in this scene that it’s the only thing of him that she has left (or she thinks she does). It represents his support. And she knows she’ll always have that. But to her, everything else has disappeared this episode. Until the end of course.
